Carol Albert is pleased to introduce you to her music. An accomplished musician, composer and vocalist with a formal classical training, she applies her own unique blend of smooth jazz and contemporary songs to her original compositions as well as to popular pieces. Having performed throughout the United States and Europe, both in person and on the airways, Carol is acclaimed as a solo and group artist who musically and emotionally touches a diverse audience. She invites you to browse this site to become acquainted with her professional style and to experience a sampling of her music.

A rural town like Hiram, Georgia may not seem a likely start for an international recording artist, but that is exactly where Carol Albertâs music talent emerged. In early childhood, Carol loved nothing better than to share the piano bench with her beloved grandmother. âMy grandmother lost an arm to cancer, so she played the bass with her left hand and taught me to play the treble with my right. She also composed songs in her sleep and taught them to me. In sharing her melodies,â Carol says, âmy grandmother imparted her love for me as well as her love of music.â As her music appreciation grew, so did Carolâs aptitude for classical piano. She earned her Bachelor of Music degree from Georgia State University, and then embarked on a career in which she has left her mark nationally and internationally.

Internationally, Carol has toured four separate times in Europe, performing in Sweden, Germany, France, England, Ireland and Spain. Her CDs have also been quite popular overseas. Innovative Communications, her German record label, named Carolâs Tides of Change among their âBest of Instrumental Music.â Along with Tides of Change, Carol has produced four other CDs: Love in Your Eyes, Christmas Impressions, Morning Music and Night Music. Her works showcase original compositions along with Carolâs interpretations of selected popular music.

In 1991 she received an Emmy nomination for Outstanding Achievement and Individual Excellence as a Composer for original theme music. Carol also took First Place for the Atlanta Songwriters Associationâs award in the Professional Category for Jazz.

She is a professional member of NARAS (National Academy of Recording Arts & Sciences) and ASCAP (American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers).
