Chandra was born in Brooklyn, New York, to the late Harold Sease, the brother of Malaco Records' Rhythm and Blues artist, Marvin Sease, and the late Carolyn B. S. Huggins.
So that Carolyn could further her education and career, she entrusted Chandra to be reared by her grandmother, Ruth Bligen ,on the river banks of South Carolina on Johns Island,from the tender age of two months old. Little did she know that this really started the beginning of Chandraâs musical career. All apart of Godâs Perfect Plan for her destiny to come.
Ruth affectionately know as âTootsieâ, is a member of the world renowned Negro Spiritual Group âThe Moving Star Hall Singersâ. They traveled extensively throughout the United States including the nationâs capital, evangelizing and spreading the Good News of Jesus Christ through song. Their music can be found nationally and at the Smithsonian in Washington, D.C.
As most artist, Chandra began singing at an early age in her local church on the childrenâs and youth choirs and eventually on to the adult choirs. She also ministered at a host of other events and conferences.
As she grew more in the knowledge of Christ, the Lord called her into another ministry in 1999 under the leadership of Elder Kay Colleton at Manna Life Center, Charleston, South Carolina.(mannalifecenter.org)
Currently Chandra is one of the Worship Leaders on the Praise Team, an Adjutant of Worship for her Pastorâs International ministry (Biblical Essence), as well a licensed minister .
In 2003, Chandra searched and asked for help with writing songs but no one came to her rescue BUT GOD!
The Lord birthed the songs on this CD, with the exception of a few, out of Chandra as a great testimony to others, that âWe can do all things through Christ who strengthens usâ.
This CD has something for everyone!
Since the release gala, of this CD, which was held at the great South Carolina Aquarium on June 19, 2005 (Fatherâs Day), Chandra has made her International debut in Sicily, Italy, on the European Tour in October 2005, accompanying her pastor.
The Release Gala was coordinated and managed by Eldrina Jones for Perfect Beginnings Event Designs (www.Itsjustperfect.com) and Marketed by Debra Anderson for DEA Communications (843)572-5040
The Lord is still writing songs daily through her and she hopes to release more anointed tools, such as this CD, for the building of the Kingdom and Unto the Glory of God!
