Stellae Errantes or Wandering Stars is the name given to the planets circling our sun. Growing up there were nine planets. Suddenly, there are eight. Committed to the Planet Pluto, we have included a Ninth track in its honor. Who ever heard of firing a planet. Really.
This album is a collection of specially crafted sound fonts which attempt to depict the personalities of the nine planets. From the booming Mercury Embroiled, where temperatures are hourly melting and reforming the planet, to the delicate Chopin like quality of Earthlight revealing the protective cocoon in which we sleep, this album is a journey to the Martian surface, to explore the ruins of ancient civilizations living along the canals, through the Jovian clouds and out to the edge of Saturn's rings.
The album was conceived by the artists who call themselves Water Sky. Not only is the name cool, but the music they produce is completely original in thought and content.
It is true that Space Music has had its day in the sun, but we think this offering is both refreshing and creative, giving this type of music a depth it has not had until now.
