Central Boise Library was a band that existed in Boise between 1999 and 2004. We played about 20 shows during that time, and recorded three home-made CDs. The first of these was released by our friend Jeremy Jensen on his label Coming In Second. I âdistributedâ the other two myself and they were available only from me and at the one cool record store in Boise, the Record Exchange. We also appeared on a few compilations of Boise area bands.

Near the end of 2004 I moved to Portland to start a new band. That band split up before playing any shows and after Lorie moved here in 2005 we put together Central City Music Company along with John Clyde, formerly of Rugburn. Our first project is distributing this collection of Central Boise Library recordings and weâre wrapping up a CD of new songs for release this summer.

We want to thank Daen and Aaron for their great work on these tracks. When CBL sounded good it was largely due to the fine playing of these two swell fellows.
