"I want to be transparent for everyone to see", says Courtney Chambers who chooses an introspective truth-bearing look at life, love and God with lyrics that express these things with emotive honesty. "I don't want to be afraid to expose my experiences, my insecurities, my faith or my dark roads. Hopefully, there is someone out there at a show or listening to the record who is going through the same things and comes to the understanding that they are not alone".

Imperfect Like Me is Courtney's first full-length album. "I wanted an earthy, intimate connection in doing this record. There is something incredible that happens when the music is stripped down of all the 'extras' and all you are left with is the song and its story". Although the album is acoustic, different flavors of electric guitar are woven through the intimate setting without taking away from the simplicity of it.

Courtney began singing early on and started playing piano at the age of ten. She started writing a few songs on the piano but it wasn't until she picked up the guitar at age 17 that she was finally able to express musically what she wanted to say. The singer/songwriter went on to college to develop her vocal and song writing skills that were influenced by such artists as: Sarah McLachlan, Juliana Hatfield, Patty Griffin and Sheryl Crow to bands like the Sundays and the Cranberries.

For Courtney the most integral part of her music is coming from an honest place in her songwriting. "If it's not real, then it's just words and its empty. The song ultimately has no soul. Songwriting is challenging, exciting and sometimes scary but it's an incredible journey".

Courtney Chambers is currently performing throughout Southern California.
