Crystal Cool Songs

Details:
Seven great pure quartz crystal, 'singing bowls' form the foundation for this recording. They were played and processed in a variety of ways from slapping, rubbing and bowed to spectacular with no-good mallets. In some spots they were filtered and processed beyond recognition using several DJ and guitar boxes and digital processors.

Each original composition features the tones and overtones of these bowls combined with an eclectic mix of sometimes humorous, sometimes sensual, acoustic performances on a variety of instruments including guitar, flugel horn, saxes; even a toy piano to name a few.

7 Rooms is Tony Humecke, and friends:
Tony Humecke- crystal bowls, percussion, drums, keyboards, guitar, bass, samples, loops
John Leftwich - acoustic bass
Rory Anton - guitars
Chip Smith - saxes
Bill Morosi - piano solo & wurlitzer
Jeff Bunnel - trumpet & flugel horn
James Rutlidge - electric bass (Dear George)
Virginia Kron - cello
Kurt Wortman - dumbec solo (Solar Crossing)
Bill Robe - ride cymbal & triangle

Many of the loops used are Tonys own creations from PERCUSSIVE ADVENTURES 2, an award winning multi-volume library, created by Tony Humecke and Kurt Wortman available from EastWest Communications.

Tony and Kurt have joined forces in a dynamic percussive duo called BETA RHYTHM FARM. They recently performed all the massive percussion work for BT for the score to STEALTH.
