Details:
Born and raised in South Central Los Angeles, Chris Hutch is familiar with the "Gang Lifestyle" the L.A. area is notorious for. Many people see this lifestyle and become part of it at a very young age. Chris chose to take another route, and it is this that sets his music apart from many of the artists emerging out of the vibrant West Coast scene. However, even though he chose not to pledge allegiance to a hood as did many of his colleagues, it is evident from first listen that he is on the grind just as much as anyone else. Going through hardships of his own, Chris lost his father to medical malpractice at the age of 16. Shortly thereafter, his very close friend Jason was murdered in cold blood. It was Jason who came up with the idea for KINGSMEN. Therefore Chris feels obligated to uphold the name and make history the way his fallen friend would have wanted him to.
