I'm a classical violinist with a love of Rock n Roll. I deeply respect pure classics but understand that sometimes it can be beyond the average human appreciation. Most people, like myself, enjoy a rhythm and new sounds. I've put the two together to create a new role for the violin, different than fiddle, jazz or electric violin added to a rock band.
The violin is such a beautifully complex and expressive instrument. I keep those qualities but also want my music to be simply fun and enjoyable to listen to. Thus, my style in "Textured Violin" emerged.
This is a collection of a few of my favorite classical pieces which I've spiced up by adding drums, mixing instruments, rhythms, and time signatures to create a more textured popular feel. On some, I added nature sounds. I play all violin parts myself, many times in duets or trios with myself.
A further goal of mine is to bring violin music back into the everyday world, and that kids will want to play violin and urge their parents to get them into it.
