Charles L. Green I resides in Danville, IL. He is a singer/songwriter and a member of Broadjam, GMA, Gospelswap, Sonicbids, Music Gorilla and BMI.

Charles is known as the father of Gojazz or jazzonian Gospel. He has written inspirational and Christian-based songs that are of hope, peace, and love. Charles' main focus is his music ministry and he will always continue to write from the heart. Two of Charles' R&B songs from his early years of writing, âTake Me Backâ and âStuck In the Headboard,â have been runners-up in the Song of the Year songwriting contest. Charles has also written Christmas songs.

Charles Green is making his way up the Country-Religious Top 10 with his tune "Claim It." âThis song has wonderful lyrics and a great melody. It can make any listener feel good about life. Charles has received a certificate of excellence from VH1âs song of the year for his song "Fly Away" which made the top five in the VH1âs Song Of The Year songwriting contest. Charles travels to Nashville to record. Gerry Peters is producing his songs. Charles has put the final touches on his ten song CD is now available. His CD is titled âBRING YOUR TROUBLES TO THE LORDâ. Charles was inspired by his Family, environment and friends to begin writing songs. He was inspired to sing in 2004 after reading a book titled The Purpose Driven Life by Rick Warren. During this time Charles was going through some rough/tough times and it was revealed to him that he should sing the songs that he writes. "I feel that God wanted me to write and sing to stay focused on him and his purpose for me".
