Details:
It has been a long time coming. After several years of writing and recording group projects as a vocalist and musician, and working in his studio as producer and engineer, Chris has brought his smooth-as-glass vocals and unique songwriting talent to bear on a very special album - his own. On this, his self-titled solo debut, fans have a chance to savor his one-of-a-kind, genre-defying sound.

Chris, 27, was born and raised in Austin, Texas, where he started playing the guitar while he was in high school. He honed his craft sitting around campfires and in the backs of pickup trucks, singing the songs of George Strait, Jack Ingram, and other country artists that were his early influences.

Today Chris' sound is all his own. You can still detect a southern influence in his voice and songwriting style, but expecting a country album is a big mistake. Chris has woven together diverse musical styles, including country, gospel, rock, reverent worship, modern electronics, British pop, and even a hint of the blues, creating a lush tapestry of sound on his new CD. The album has something for everyone, regardless of musical taste, with rich instrumentation and simple, elegant lyrics. It even has a love song!

Chris graduated from Texas State University in San Marcos, Texas. He became involved with Crosstalk Student Ministry, playing his guitar and leading worship each week while he was in college. Chris is now a full-time college pastor with Crosstalk, and Cypress Creek Church in Wimberley, Texas, where he leads worship, serves as a speaker, and is involved in mentoring college students. Chris lives with his wife Casey at their home in Wimberley, Texas.

Chris is also the owner of Cristobal Studios (www.cristobalstudios.com), a state-of-the art recording studio in Central Texas.
