Composed of Martin Wilson, Darrell Holmes, Richard Yerby, Derek Owens and Randy Roberts, these Choir Boyz each hail from Baltimore, bringing with them life baggage from experiences of street fame, fortune and despair. Through song, they use the contents of this baggage to demonstrate that only Jesus Christ brings true satisfaction and security.

The vocal and songwriting skills they picked up along the way are in plenty display, as they hand back this heavy talent to God. This project entitled âSing Unto The Lordâ is their junior record, a seasoned group of brothers delivering a wealth of musical maturity through the CD speakers. More importantly, Choir Boyz brings an obvious bounty of spiritual experience as reflected in thoughtful and life-relevant lyrics.

Their music and ministry reaches beyond the church walls while impacting and changing lives of all who struggle, as they did in their youth trying to find a quality of life that reflects the kingdom of God. Their first CD âOrdered Stepsâ released in 1998, led to a nationwide gospel tour. Choir Boyz have performed at secular and gospel venues throughout the nation. Additionally, they have shared the stage with gospel greats including Yolanda Adams, Vicki Winans, Richard Smallwood, Hezekiah Walker, Shirley Ceasar, The Canton Spirituals, Men of Standard, Marvin Sapp, Donnie McClurkin, Fred Hammond, Kirk Franklin, Jeff Majors and a host of others.

Choir Boyz collective commitment to minister through singing praises unto the Lord is born out of redemption from the perils of life. Although, each of them were reared in strong Christian families, they were drawn away by various desires for worldly gain. However, the so-called good life of the streets of Baltimore claimed them as victims, like it does all who go that route. They suffered drug abuse, prison, and near death experiences before finding each other and reclaiming their relationship with the Lord.

Their distinguished harmonies are soul stirring. Their ministry mission is to spread the Good News that by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast. Choir Boyz know that faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. It is their prayer as they continue to spread the word of God through their music ministry, that every listener who hears this project âSing Unto The Lordâ will receive the gift of faith that has transformed their lives and sealed their destiny in heaven for eternal life.
