Details:
"The Trouble With Loving Hurricanes" features 4 brand new songs from singer/songwriter Chris Holcombe.

The opening "Mississippi Rain" features the laid back groove of lazy summer days, with an evocative lyric about lust, sex, confusion, and heartbreak. "Better Mistakes" continues the midtempo soul vein, regretfully detailing a one night stand that could've been something more. The CD turns decidedly darker with the minor key, hard-hitting, gospel/blues of "Dirty Blood" before ending with an emotional, vulnerable reading of the Counting Crows' "A Long December."

In less than 20 minutes, Chris takes the listener on a journey from seductive, thunderstorm afternoons to lonely, pain filled nights, displaying mature lyrics, confident musical prowess, and, despite the heavy subject matter, a sly sense of humor. ("You'd back me in a corner...and then we'd slide down to the floor.")

Produced by Ben Strano as The Sonic Fedora (Kristen Cothron's "Love Letters From A Fool") and featuring the immensely talented Natalie Stovall on background vocals, "Hurricanes" is a bold, mature statement from one of music's most promising talents.
