Chicken is a composite of two friends, writing and recording songs independently in their bedrooms, collaborating on some songs, layered dreamy/creamy instrumentation with voice, guitars, drums, vibes and cello.

Following the dissolution of the "band" Phil and Chuck retreated to their respective caves of creativity, to record beautiful songs of late night wandering and dreamy pondering. The resulting CD is a rich tapestry of color and feeling culled from quiet introspection, expressed through a variety of acoustic and electric instruments; some songs written alone on acoustic guitars and others the result of improved collaboration between the two. The tone and sentiment is somewhere between Barlow and Low, slow to mid-tempo pieces that both assuage and stir, continually growing on the listener with each encounter.
