Rock / Alternative / Indie-rock (w/brass).
11 MP3 Songs
ROCK: Modern Rock, ROCK: Roots Rock
Details:
Recorded in only six days, "NIGHTLIFE OF THE GODS" expands upon Central Funktionâs indulgences with drugs and alcohol, parties, women, and rock nâroll. The albumâs tracks highlight Central Funktionâs strengths: dynamic changes, tight arrangements, and thoughtful melodies. While not a concept album, the continuing theme of âNLOGâ is how the harmonious, yet sometimes violent, blending of the fresh morning and the exhausted evening shapes lives, builds character, and makes or breaks relationships.
The band hails from Kingston, TN, where members began performing together as early as 1997. Rhythm guitar and vocalist, Corey Finnell, bassist Jackson Deal, drummer Andrew Nance, lead guitarist Jimmie Whittenbarger, and horn players Mark Ellis & Chris Nance delight in the fact they are playing songs that can be faithfully reproduced in front of a live audience. Furthermore, "NIGHTLIFE OF THE GODS" is a celebration of rawk nârowl that will grant the band access to venues across the United States and abroad.
