Details:
Quick 'n' dirty:

Ben Spraker (vocals/guitar) and Dave Gerow (drums/vocals) first joined forces on the Tee-Ball diamond at the age of 6. Once in their mid-teens, they started playing music in the basement of a Roanoke, VA area orthodontist's basement
before relocating to Athens, GA in the mid 90s to attend the University. There, they formed Ceiling Fan, eventually settling on native Atlantan Jess Robbins as their bass guitarist. They have since released a 7", a full length,
an EP, and have been featured on numerous compilations. Their latest is titled Hot Streets, and it is slated for release in early '04 on Imperial Fuzz.

Detailed:

Ceiling Fan was created in Athens, Ga in 1994 by Ben Spraker, David Gerow and Pete Hagerman. Hailing from Roanoke, Va., Gerow and Spraker have been making
racket together since tee- ball. After meeting Hagerman in '94, they decidedto get "serious," and a 4 track demo called "The Bean Sessions" was recorded that year in a late night session at Frijolero's . About the time Frijolero's
closed down, Pete left for lower ground in Charleston and native Atlantan Jess Robbins stepped in. In 1995-6 a second demo titled "Blows" was recorded with the new lineup.

Soon afterwards, a track from "Blows" titled "She-Hulk" was included on the "Treble Revolution" compilation CD on Kindercore Records. In the years to follow, a 7 inch single "I'm Not Metal Anymore" b/w "God Made the Flowers", was recorded, and in 1999 Ceiling Fan's first CD "Trick Music" was released. Composed of songs recorded live and in the studio between '96 and '99, "Trick Music" documents the
multiple sides of the Celing Fan sound. Hot Streets is the newest studio effort, just released in Feb. '04.
