Details:
J.R. and the Randogs is the solo side-project for Jesse Ruggles, guitarist for the widely revered N.W. power-pop band Phamous Phaces.
All the instruments are played by Jesse, save for the song Nine Dollars to Hollywood, which was written by Jesse's close friend Kevin Hansen, who also sings and plays drums the tune.

He is also backed up by some stellar musicians from around the N.W., including Portland pop virtuoso Fran Gray, and Mike Trathen, from the super-power-popping Phamous Phaces. Also singing on this project is Rick Burch, singer/bassist for the FlexTones and proprieter of Studio B, where this disc was recorded.

Jesse started out to make a more aggressive, edgier cd, but some songs were more heart-felt, and poppy, so he fleshed (or 'weeded', as he puts it..) these songs out of the original cd song line-up, and decided to release this as a separate cd altogether under an assumed name.

As for Jesse's "bonafied" solo cd, it's on the way, and it will kick your ass. Big Guitars. Big Drums.

The J.R. and the Randogs name is an homage to one of Jesse's long lost friends, the late, great Randy "Randog" Ivie, to which this cd is dedicated.

So,.. Turn it up, and dig J.R. and the Randogs!!

**New developments**
8/29/05 - Watch for the next, and first full-length J.R. and the Randogs CD, "Pray for Tucson" to be released on Bink! Records early next spring.
