Details:
JR was born in Sierra Leone and moved to the US in 1989. While attending high school from 1989 to 1993, he joined a reggae band and school choir. He also starred in school musicals (Fame and Wizard of Oz). He left the band after high school and joined the US Army and rose to the rank of Sergeant. JR is a recent graduate from Marymount University in Arlington, VA with a Bachelors in Computer Information Systems and a minor in Business Management. He linked up with the Jungle Leaders, a talented group of guys with concious reggae vibes from Sierra Leone, while on vacation in December 2004 and recorded "Rise Up Sa Lone" and "Gonna Miss You". These two songs were featured on their "Same Soup" Album released in 2005. He has since completed 10 addtional tracks featuring artists like King Attilla, AmzarD Linx, Funky Freddy of Jungle Leaders, Junior bo and Speshelitz. His album titled "Born Sierra Leonean" was released on 14 July, 2006 at Best Western Hotel in Lanham, Maryland and is currently in stores in the Washington, DC metro area. CD is also available online at http://www.salonejr.com.
