Guitarist, composer and virtuoso Cuatro player, Jose Gonzalez, is one of the top performers of contemporary Latin music. Acclaimed for his original compositions featuring âthe Cuatroâ, (Puerto Ricoâs national instrument), his nine self-produced recordings have become bestsellers. His music is featured on NBC, PBS, CNN, cable TV, as well as four âPutumayo World Musicâ CDs and the Bose Corp. âWorld MusicâCD.
Jose is a graduate of the University of Puerto Rico with vast musical experiences, including performances in Mexico, Dominican Republic, Cuba, Puerto Rico, Martinique, Curacao, and the U.S.A. Guitarist/Music Director with major Latin artists such as: Libertad Lamarque, Sandro, Braulio, Danny Rivera, Andres Jimenez, Roy Brown, Lucecita, Giovanni Hidalgo and Ruben Blades.
