"A serene demonstration that those unsigned artists out there can entertain and cerebrally connect with you better than an army of million dollar studio engineers. An album this good deserves more than 'impressive', but Iâm at a loss for words."

"Joshua Morrison is a talented singer/songwriter who writes sweeping tales that court melodies. Armed with fantastic songwriting, Morrison enlists three others to help out on this dynamic and stirring EP. His vocals are crisp basking in clarity and harmonyâguest crooner Bethany Woll sounds well positioned next to his quiet but engaging vocal arrangements. A serene demonstration that those unsigned artists out there can entertain and cerebrally connect with you better than an army of million dollar studio engineers. An album this good deserves more than âimpressiveâ, but Iâm at a loss for words."

I grew up in a small town Northeast of Seattle, tucked in below the foothills of the Cascade Mountains. Music has always been a comfort to me. As a child, my mother dragged me to the symphony while my father did his best to expose me to his own mix of the Moody Blues, Glenn Campbell, and everything in between.
At 15, I bought a $50 guitar from a friend and took lessons for about a year or two. With my driver's license came frequent trips to Seattle to see local bands like Pedro the Lion, Rocky Votolato, and Death Cab.
I joined the Army in eary 2004 after accruing my fair share of student loans. In college, I mostly played at small coffee shops and bars in the Puget Sound area. Nearly three years in the Army have led me to a greater appreciation of many things, music certainly being one of them. I play and record whenever I can, scribble lyrics on notepads when I can't.
I wrote these songs after returning from Iraq in 2005. At the time, I was stationed at Fort Lewis, Washington, 15 minutes away from the hospital where I was born. Five months in Iraq away from family, friends, and my guitar led to plenty of nights hunched over an old 4-track recorder after I returned in January. I was fortunate enough to get some time in a small studio before moving to North Carolina in January of 2006. Later this fall I'll be flying back to Seattle to record again. Hopefully, I can piece together a full-length sometime soon after that.
