Born in Portugal, raised in South Africa and currently based in Los Angeles , California, Jojo has the unique musical ability to take the listener on a journey
throughout many countries, yet always making them feel "at home" .
He's musical influences range across the board, from studying the classical guitar to playing in jazz and rock groups .
An accomplished guitarist, singer/songwriter,arranger and producer, Jojo released an album 'Brother Time' in 1996, through Pony Canyon Records of Japan , receiving tremendous airplay on radio throughout Tokyo and Osaka.
This project "Terra Negra" is a blend of jazz harmonic overtones with Afro-Latin rhythms mixed with a funky edge with both vocals and instrumentals.
