Billy Jones is a twenty nine year old singer songwriter native to North Carolina. Jones has been hawking and honing his thought-provoking songs and danceable rhtyhms around the Charlotte area for the better part of the last decade.
His first album "Without a Fight" features 12 origianl tracks. From start to finish, the album has a very organic, acoustic feel, with each of the songs revolving around Jones' strong rhythm guitar playing, thoughtful lyrics, and warm vocal delivery. The songs address essential, present-day concerns and ideas, yet the album also possesses a very nostalgic quality - as if Jones is acknowledging that he is one in a long line of thinkers, songwriters, and poets. In "Rainy Night Lullaby," Jones sings, "I lost myself in the moment of dreaming of the men who came before; wonder what roads they may heave traveled just to walk through the very same doors; wonder if I've taken the road like some kind of essential coincidence - these complex paths we choose wonder what will happen next."

Says Jones of his debut record; "I just wanted to put a stamp on the times. There are a lot of songs and people that I look up to because they said what needed to be said at the time. I wanted to put something out there that responds to the present." Asked if there was a central theme to the record, Jones answers, "I want the album to reflect hope. It certainly acknowledges that life is a constant struggle - but there is hope buried in every situation, and I wanted to bring that to light."
