Josie Bailey is a professional storyteller whose spirited, animated performances have captivated audiences all across the Southeast. A native of Georgia, Josie graduated from Georgia State University with a degree in social welfare. She began storytelling as a volunteer project in her son's school, and soon her love of reading and passion for preserving the oral traditions of the past blossomed into a full-time career. Josie has been called a phenomenal and creative entertainer, and has been commissioned to perform by the APEX Museum, Kennesaw State University, Imagine It! The Children's Museum of Atlanta, the Carter Center and a host of other organizations. She is also a frequent and well-received guest at schools, community programs and storytelling festivals.
