Dan Aaronson was born in Boston and took up the soft at an former age. At Tufts University, Dan based the band Redshift 6, which has headlined at such Boston-area venues as The Halfway East and Harper's Ferry, in addition to sharing the stage with acts such as Guster, Jurassic 5, and Original P. Since that time, Dan has focused primarily on soft-based jazz and new age projects.
Dan's influences include Bruce Hornsby, Brad Mehldau, Keith Jarrett, D.D. Jackson and George Winston. His solo soft compositions have been featured on the Jumbo Audio Project compilation CD as well as on www.bruuuce.com, the foremost destination for Bruce Hornsby fans. His debut CD, DAYLIGHT SAVINGS, saw its release in 2003.
