Details:
Joanie Logue has been playing the piano, guitar, and writing songs since she was a teenager. She believes there was background music playing when she was born, for she has had a song in her head since that day. Joanie's earliest music influences came via the British invasion when she was living in England Her life has taken her down many roads, and it wasn't until the 21st century, at a most unlikely time in her life, that she embarked on a serious song writing journey.

She met Jeff Barks in 2001, and started writing songs in various genres. Together they formed the band Sunday Morning Blues Club, and played local gigs while Joanie began recording their songs. Her first solo project "Thousand Stars," features superb musicianship from Jeff, and from some of St. Louis's finest musicians, including award winning Javier Mendoza, David Karns and Todd Mosby.

Included on her CD "Thousand Stars" is "Casey's Song" written for her child with Down syndrome. She sends copies of "Casey's Song" to organizations and parents all over the world as a witness to the gift of a "special" child.

She is currently collaborating with John Andrews, and has begun recording a new project.

Joanie is grateful to God who makes it all possible, and her husband Steve.
