Throughout his years at Northwestern University Joshua Mitchell continued to hone his skills by participating in various talent shows and plays not only as a performer but also as an artistic director; producing musicals and choreographing various dance shows. While very successful in his artistic endeavors in Chicago, Joshua wanted to further his career and thus moved to New York City where he continues to grow; gracing the stages of NYCâs Joeâs Pub, Elbow Room, Dillonâs, Jimmyâs Uptown, Downtime, Soul Café, Village Underground, CBGBâs, Bowery Poetry Club, Le Bar Bat, Moca Lounge, Ashford & Simpsonâs Sugar Bar, Baggott Inn, SOBâs, and a host of other venues. With his dazzling stage presence, dynamic vocal range, and positive spirit, Joshua Mitchell's live performances leave the audience mesmerized. From scatting, to gospel belting, to smooth crooning, his versatile style sets him above the rest. His lyrics are deep, heartfelt, and truthful. Seeing him live is truly an uplifting and exciting experience.
