Details:
Johnny Kobra was born in Sweden, started playing
guitar at the age of 12 and grew up musically playing
the Stockholm city rock clubs.

Moving to Los Angeles in the late 1990s, Johnny was
praised for his innovative and soulful guitar work, as he
gigged extensively around Southern California with the
band Mother Spirit.

After branching out musically scoring films,
TV commercials and video games for a few years,
Johnny now returns to his true roots â rock and roll.

Recording âTHE SMELL OF ROCK AND ROLLâ took
about 18 months from start to finish with Johnny doing
all vocals, playing every instrument and mixing the entire
album himself.

Influenced by classic and modern rock, the songs on
this album are catchy pop tunes, cut with Johnny's
own "guitar rock" edge. The fangs may sting your skin,
but the venom that infects your blood is a pleasant drug
that will seduce you and make you beg for more.

"I was shooting for good songs the way I like them --
something that could have kicked ass at a party ten years
ago just as well as ten years from now, regardless of
fashion, trends or fads," says Johnny Kobra.
