A Filipino- Canadian singer/ songwriter for over six years and producer for the past two years, Janâs unique style is R&B rooted, but influenced by many different genres of music and by many different kinds of artists. From Pop to Hip-Hop, from the Beatles to Usher, he has been inspired. Through experimentation and creativity, Jan has created a sound to call his own.

Janâs music relies heavily on strong melodies and a mosaic of various production styles. He sings with soul and uplifting power, fuelled by lyrics that are honest and real. When producing his music, Jan tries to keep an open mind because he wants a sound that is fit for everyone's ears.

This 526 Music recording artist is constantly working on new material as well as producing music for other local artists. For the past two years Jan has made his presence known by performing at various local venues such as Kitsilano Beach, Atlantis Night Club, Plaza Night Club and Shine Night Club in Vancouver, Canada. He has also been involved in his community by performing at The Multicultural Helping House and through his own 526 Music label, Jan has assisted local organizations with events such as 'Richcity Idol', a youth singing competition held in Richmond, BC Canada.

Throughout his life, Jan has always been into music. He started singing at church and in his high school choir but never took singing seriously until he started writing lyrics. Armed with a dreamerâs vision, dangerous creativity and lack of musical training, Jan made a conscious decision to pursue a career in music. With little knowledge about the industry, he ventured into numerous musical endeavours that just led him straight to dead-ends. Frustrated by previous mistakes, Jan decided to take matters into his own hands.

In the fall of 2002, Jan enrolled in a ten month recorded music production program. Simultaneously, his debut solo album âInspiredâ was in the works.

With the technical and business knowledge gained from school and natural creative thinking, Jan was on the right path towards success. In November 2003, 2 months after completing his recorded music production program, Jan launched 526 Music, his self-owned record label. Featuring self-produced tracks and collaborations with Intense Productions and Solid Bass Productions, Janâs debut album âInspiredâ hopes to trigger new inspirations in music.
