UK based Jack's Family formed in the spring/summer of 2002 when songwriters Kelly Jones (vocals, violin & piano) and Jean-Paul De-Havilland (lead guitar) returned to Colchester from the West Country.

Their travels had taken them from London to Torquay searching for the perfect musicians to compliment what they knew would be a radically different rock band. Within a couple of weeks of arriving back in Jean-Paul's home town, they found the extraordinarily talented rhythm section of Nicholas (drums) and Cary (bass). These two friends had been working together musically for some time, and understood each other's playing to an almost telepathic degree.

Rehearsals began almost immediately for the recording of the album 'Poetry of Souls' and a debut outing at Kartouche in Ipswich. With the recording complete and more gigs under their belts, Jack's Family fell back on an old friend of Kelly's to provide the final piece of the jigsaw. She first met pianist and keyboard player Darren Tansley five years earlier when he invited her to tour with Celtic rock band The Wickermen, so he was the obvious choice to augment the Jack's Family's sound.

The band are now embarking on a series of UK dates to publicise 'Poetry of Souls', a unique fusion of metal with blistering violin solos. Check out the website for constant updates.
