ABE WHITE CELEBRATES "THAT GEECHEE CHARM"

Charleston, South Carolina, July 1, 2004 - Charleston's longtime saxophonist, Abe White, (The Abe White Affair), is celebrating "THAT GEECHEE CHARM" with the release of a solo, self-produced, debut CD. "THAT GEECHEE CHARM" is a twelve-song CD displaying the jazz, blues, and Caribbean influences in his playing that he thinks is autochthonic to the region. This CD represents the achievement of a longtime objective, which is to define his feelings about his home through songs, and in so doing, celebrate "THAT GEECHEE CHARM." "THAT GEECHEE CHARM" was recorded in his studio and released on the AWA Record label.

Abe White has been a perennial performer with the Spoleto, Moja, North Charleston Arts Festivals, and other festivals around the area as the leader of the group "THE ABE WHITE AFFAIR."
