Details:
Jay Tyer is a jazz guitarist, composer, author, and teacher. He has written many computer-based tutorials for jazz improvisation, jazz guitar, and electrical engineering.

Jay has been teaching jazz guitar for over 25 years. He believes jazz is music that is meant to be played with others. Music in general, and jazz in particular, is a special form of communication on a different level than verbal communication. Jay feels while everyone is not meant to be a performer all people should play. This is why he has run an open jazz jam in Worcester Massachusetts for over a decade.

Ed Conley started his jazz career in New York playing with the great pianist John Mehegan. Ed is a very popular musician who, although rooted in jazz, is deemed a freelance player in a number of musical settings. The versatility of Ed can be seen by his familiarity with the tabla, an Indian drum, and all manners of electronic percussion. He is heard on the Alternate Quartet's release Rainforest Rhumboogie. Ed co-hosts the community jazz jams in Worcester Massachusetts with Jay.

Jim Allard is a saxophonists, flutist, composer and teacher. Jim studied privately with Joseph Allard and further studied at Berklee, New England Conservatory, and Boston University. He has taught in the Worcester area for over 20 years. He teaches at Clark University, Worcester Academy and the Joy of Music. Jim, is the primary soloist on several CDs covering various idioms from jazz to rock. Jim is presently featured with the MJK band from Boston.

Phil Madison is a highly sought after session bass player who has been playing jazz in Worcester, MA for 25 years.
