Details:
âHello My Friendâ is Jason Carterâs debut album. It is on the Universal Sounds of America label and will release April 17th 2006.

Jasonâs family background is filled with outstanding musicians. His grandfather was an accomplished fiddle player. Jasonâs father was signed to a recording contract with Bobby Smith Productions in Macon, GA in 1971. Wayne Cochranâs âLast Kissâ was a big hit for Bobby Smith Productions in the sixties. Jasonâs âUncle Juddâ was known as the best mandolin player in north Alabama. His Uncle was offered a job traveling with the Blue Grass Legend, Bill Monroe, but elected to stay in Alabama to continue his career with the âRhythm Rangersâ. Also, Sonny James had the classic hit âYoung Loveâ in the â50âs, and is a distant cousin of Jasonâs.

Although Jasonâs family background lies in bluegrass and country, Jason is a mixture of Southern Rock, Pop and Soul.

Jason began his music career playing the local clubs in Tuscaloosa, Auburn and Birmingham. During this time he started to hone his skills as a songwriter. His father, Larry, also a songwriter, began to like what Jason was writing. He decided it was time to do a recording session to see what the material sounded like in the studio. Larry knew where to find the very best musicians-Macon, GA. He had recorded with these musicians during the â70âs. Now, they are all seasoned musicians. After the first session, Larry and Goose Goodrich, who co-produced the session, decided that the material was strong and that Jason needed to do an Album. âHello My Friendâ is the result.

Joseph O. Patton, Editor and Publisher of Capital City Free Press wrote---
âBoasting all original material which features Carter's songwriting, lyrics, vocals and guitar work, "Hello My Friend" stews in a little soul, pop and Southern Rock, all capped by strong lyrics. The melodies are frequently catchy and are heightened by Carter's distinctive voice, which is laudably earthy and warmâ. ( Read the entire review at www.capcityfreepress.com/ae75)

Louie Long, âThe Troubadillosâ, Austin, TX (front band for Willie Nelson) said--
âJasonâs songs are unlike anything else on the market. When I try to think, âWho does Jason remind me of, I canât come up with anyone. Jason has a new and unique styleâ.
