Details:
"Twisted Roots" is the new CD from Jason Ebs. Almost titled after the words surrounding his Twisted Roots logo "Examine Society, Question Authority", it's about following your dreams and being aware. In a world currently transfixed on war and reality TV Shows, here comes a collection of music with substance. The music has been best described as "moody, trippy, driving, and melodic." Introspective epics combined with catchy rock & roll pop songs, with most of them able to be performed with just a vocal and an acoustic guitar, as Jason often does as an acoustic show.

While forming the band, Jason found himself playing with various notable musicians along the way. He toured North America along with Ace Frehley's Band (KISS), singing and playing guitar for Peter Criss of KISS' band 'CRISS'. He's been a sub guitar player for BERLIN (Terri Nunn). And he can be seen in the Hollywood circuit at celebrity jams sitting in with anyone from Slash to Jeff Goldblum.

Upon uniting over a little over 2 years ago, they immediately headed into the studio and began recording the CD known as "Twisted Roots", with music targeting important issues from self-doubt to Cloning. "I'm out to raise the awareness of the individual through music" says Ebs. Jason then recorded 5 songs for the record and began playing shows. One live show caught the attention of Peter Castillo from Independent Label MusicRocks Records, who then took over financing the CD. Peter then brought veteran engineer/producer Baker Bigsby into the project, who earned himself a Grammy Award for his engineering on "Carwash".

Baker Bigsby brings with him the experience of over 750 records (15 of them gold or platinum), having worked with such artists as The Rolling Stones, Rose Royce, The Band, and Joe Cocker. Co-producing the CD with Jason, he brings a vintage feel to a modern found, as the record was primarily recorded on 2" tape while the band played it live together in the studio.

"Dreams May Fade" and "Christmas Chimes" have music videos that are included on the CD as .mov files. "Chains" was/is in the top 20 songs at www.thunderGroundRadio.com.

Jason is receiving rave reviews of his liver performances. Los Angeles base Magazine Music Connections writes that "Ebs' presence is larger than life with his powerful range, perfect pitch, and emotion drenched delivery..." also stating that his band is "made up of super-tight and talented musicians who offer a compelling live show."

The record features Pennsylvania's own Jason Ebs on lead vocals, lead & rhythm guitars, bass, & percussion. Ohio's own Tiger Shaw is on the drums/percussion. Chris Hammer plays bass, vocals, keys, & piano. Brett Dearth plays guitar, vocals, and keys/piano. Additional guitar wizardry by Joey Amir and Nalle Colt.

"People are afraid to take chances" says Ebs "because we're taught to take the safe and secure route in life. It's time to break free and reach for your dreams..."

Well, Reach On and thanks for listening...
