Jared Starr was born in Ft. Worth, TX in 1975. He's lived in Texas all of his life and grew up listening to country music. Yeah, he went through the teenage rock years like everyone, but it broadened his respect for all genres of music. He will listen to just about anything from Sinatra to Garth, and everything in between. His influences include Elvis Presley, George Jones, Merle Haggard, Billy Joel, Alan Jackson, George Strait and many more. His songwriting influences are Willie Nelson, Kris Kristofferson, Steve Wariner, Jeffrey Steele, Alan Jackson, and many more.

Jared has been married to his best friend, Angela, since 1995 and they have two beautiful children together. Jared's entire family and their support is the backbone of his music. His family, friends, and fans are what keep him doing what he loves to do.

After writing songs for over fifteen years, Jared has finally decided to start pushing the songs to other artists, publishers, and record labels, as well as making his own CD's in the meantime. He has learned so much over time about writing and has grown leaps and bounds in his ability to do so.

Jared's main goal is to write the type of songs that make an impact on today's society. Songs that someone can always relate to, reflect on, or downright say, "Hey, that's about me!" Jared is a christian and knows that it is God that has given him the ability to write and sing. He knows that without Jesus in his life, the dream he has been living for years would remain just that. A dream. However, with God's will and help, Jared's dream is fast becoming a reality.
