Details:
Hot off the press in June of 2006, My November Guest is a World Premiere Recording featuring Baritone James Anest (Vocals) and Dr. Jon Naples (Piano & Guitar).
Jon Naples is also the Composer of these never-before-heard melodies, elevating the beloved romantic poetry of Robert Frost, Lord Byron, Edna St. Vincent Millay, Elizabeth B. Browning, William Blake and W. B. Yeats.

Great care has been placed on the recording of this album, incorporating the techniques of the 1950âs âThe Golden Age of Vocal Recordingâ. From the moment you press âplayâ, youâll hear Jamesâ lush baritone voice jump out in High Fidelity.

âGuestâ is NOT a pop recordingâ¦it is however, beautiful romantic poetry, painstakingly set to melody-a wonderful purchase for one who loves quality music with quality lyrics.

Dr. Naples compositions have been featured in numerous venues, including the International Music & Arts Festival, The New School in New York, the California Institute of the Arts, Japan America Theater in Los Angeles, and Pasadena Presbyterianâs Music At Noon Series with Vocal Artist James Anest. Jon is also a frequent contributor of original new repertory through commissions from the Devine School For Guitar in Cardiff, California as well as arranger and orchestrator for the schoolâs recent performances with the San Diego Chamber Orchestra. Jon holds a Doctorate of Music Degree from the University of Southern California.

James Anest has performed in Opera, Musicals and Theater around the world. He is a regular roster member of several opera companies across the US, including Opera Santa Barbara and The Los Angeles Opera. He is the winner of numerous awards, including the prestigious National Arts Award and has been seen on MTV.

This is Jamesâ second recording. His first entitled âCalvary Streetâ is a Christian/Inspirational album also available here on CD Baby.
