Retro pop with a sixties vibe and a jazzy feel. Steely Dan meets The Beatles, sort of.
16 MP3 Songs
POP: Beatles-pop, ROCK: 60's Rock
Details:
If the Internet existed when I started playing music (the early sixties), you might have heard of me by now. But, we had no Internet back then...just the telegraph. We had some great music though. While I've explored and loved many styles of music over the years, the one thing that keeps coming back to inspire me is the music of the sixties. There were so many great bands with their own sound, it's hard to pick a favorite -- The Beatles, The Doors, Strawberry Alarm Clock, Cream, Moody Blues, Jimi Hendrix...all great stuff.
As a songwriter, it is always my hope that the listener hears something unique in my music, but also recognizes the influences behind my sound. If you hear a little McCartney in my bass, a little Clapton in my guitar, and maybe some Hayward in my mood, then you probably understand me.
