3 MP3 Songs
ELECTRONIC: Ambient, ELECTRONIC: Soundscapes

Details:
Ambient music tends to not call attention to itself. Rather it flows around and fits into the background like other ambient events - the wind, surf, windchimes, or bird songs are excellent examples. There is no toe tapping (rhythm entrainment) and no mental tension (anticipation response) to command the attention.

EarthSpirit is ambient music. Designed as a soothing background for relaxation, long thoughts and meditation, massage therapy, and many other settings, EarthSpirit intuitively and effortlessly evokes the relaxation response.

So light that candle, sit back, relax. and enjoy.

John Standridge was born and raised in Chattanooga, Tennessee. He began playing piano at age 6, and trumpet at age 11. Early musical influences included the jazz of Stan Kenton, the opera of Puccini, and the folk music of Leonard Cohen. He now embraces all musical genres. Areas of personal interest are equally diverse, and, in addition to music composition and recording, include painting (watercolors, oils, and acrylics), gourmet cooking, enology, reading, chess, computers, horses, boating, and fishing. Like many musicians, John Standridge has a day job; he teaches and practices family medicine. As a professor of family medicine at the University of Tennessee College of Medicine, Dr. Standridge believes in the healing powers of music, so when he relaxes, he seriously relaxes.
