The words and music to each of the songs on the Gospel Guitar CD
have been written by Jim Pope. He also holds an all inclusive
copyright for every song. Jim began songwriting in 1968 which turned
into Gospel writing when he got saved at the age of 30. Though he
currently volunteers as pastor of a small home church, Jim's calling has
led him into many areas of Christian service. Preaching, teaching,
Biblical counseling, prison ministry, nursing home ministry and church
planting have all included the use of songs given to Jim by the Lord.

Academically, Jim holds a Bachelors of Business Administration from
Texas Tech, a master's and subsequent earned Doctorate of Theology
from Freedom Bible College and Seminary and additional private
training in Biblical counseling.

Jim and his wife Janie currently reside in Grove, Oklahoma. They have
four grown children and one granddaughter. Three year old Faith
Dawn is the light of their lives.

With regard to music, Jim has been playing guitar for almost 40 years
and written approximately 150 songs. Though his songs display many
genres, he leans toward easy listening with a country flavor.
