Julie Caitlin Brown started singing at the age of 12 in church, which led her to compete as a jazz vocalist in High School (National School Choral Award, State Jazz Festival Soloist), rock bands in college, one woman shows by the age of 23, Broadway at 29 as a lead in Tommy Tune's Grand Hotel, and back to her roots as a singer-songwriter, performing her original music all over the world.
Described as "Music for people who have lived", Struck By Lightning was recorded live in Los Angeles utilizing members of Tears For Fears, The Eric Burden band, sidemen for Tracy Chapman and Jewel, as well as members of the fusion band, Spock's Beard.
Inspired by her life on the road, it's triumphs as well as it's sacrifices, Struck By Lightning tells it like it is.
