Grammy nominated Jesse J. Alexander is a veteran singer songwriter. He has a very diverse career in the music industry. For Jesse J. Alexander, his musical career has been a time of unparalleled professional success and personal contentment. A veteran songwriter of multi-platinum songs for other singers in musical genres ranging from country to pop, jazz, classical, children's music and R&B. In addition to being an arranger, producer, studio musician and music publisher, Jesse also composes music for film and television.
Jesse was born and raised in Los Angeles, California. His father handed him his first guitar at the age of 5. Not content to playing one instrument, Jesse learned to play several instruments while in public school. He is an accomplished musician playing several instruments. Jesse's musical ability is quite evident on Lovemetamorphose² -- where he plays all of the instruments.
Jesse's original plan was to become an architect. Although music was always a big part of his life, he never thought of it as a career. It wasn't until legendary music publisher Lester Sill, discovered Jesse while performing with his band, that Jesse realized that music was the path he would take. Jesse was not content with being involved only in the creative process -- He wanted to learn all there was to know about the business side of music publishing. What better way to do that, than to learn straight from the pros. He spent 10 years learning the music publishing business while working at EMI Music, Inc., The Welk Music Group, and Columbia Pictures Music.
In 1989, Jesse decided to go off on his own and start his own music company. His music company has developed into a music publishing company, production company, recording studio and now his own record label.
After working on so many different projects, he has finally returned to his own recording career, releasing his latest CD, Lovemetamorphose². Lovemetamorphose² is a musical journal of songs depicting the fundamental changes one experiences while being in love. This CD includes the metamorphosis of certain musical elements that tie one song to another.
Although always being behind the scenes, Jesse doesn't shy away from performing on occasion in front of a live audience. His unique style combines elements of R&B, Pop and Jazz. Jesse has the ability to capture your attention with his memorable melodies and catchy hooks. Jesse's vocals add a personal touch to his music that will touch your soul, spirit, conscious, and heart. Jesse's ability to create his own style is evident on Lovemetamorphose².
