Piano-Bass-Drum easy listening jazz trio
11 MP3 Songs
JAZZ: Smooth Jazz, EASY LISTENING: Lounge
Details:
This Canadian group consists of piano, bass and drums and is considered one of the finest jazz trios in its home turf of Southwestern Ontario. On piano is head honcho John Noubarian who has spent a lifetime in music and has performed with jazz greats ie. Ben Webster, Coleman Hawkins, Bobby Hackett, Pat LaBarbera, Ernestine Anderson, and Carment McCrea. The drummer, Jeff Christmas, performs not only with great verve and limitless ability but is also resident composer with Orchestra London. Jeff has a major in film composition from Boston's Berklee School. Rounding out the trios distinct sound is Darryl Stacey on electric bass who plays with great imagination and dexterity. Employing a musical style which never wanders too far from the average listener's grasp, JJD II tries to stay within reasonable bounds without forsaking creativity but yet maintain improvisational interest. This makes this group's sound not only easier to understand but pleasant to listen to.
