Description:

(ID 1073149)
An instrumental rock/jazz fusion album, reminiscent of Jeff Beck, Satriani (in some parts), and maybe Pink Floyd and Santana, with some Steely Dan chords throughout.

9 MP3 Songs
JAZZ: Jazz Fusion, ROCK: Instrumental Rock

Details:
Overall, this is in the guitar centric, prog/rock, jazz/fusion vein. (If they had a style called 'steely dan' then I would have included that also.) My influences are also, Yes, Kansas, and Weather Report, to name a few, so to whatever degree you hear those influences, well that would be considered a good thing.

This disc, recently uploaded to cdbaby, was completed in 2002. It was a retrospective of about a 9 year period during which I was trying to record a 2nd album but kept shelfing it.

Then, in 2000 or so, I was getting ready to sell my DAT machine, which forced me to listen to all the dat masters I had scrapped. No longer being sick of them, I really liked what I was hearing. So I spent the next year reviving basic tracks and adding a track here and there and mixing. This why there are like four different drummers, bass players and keyboard players and two sax players.

If you like this album, please check out my newest one, "Shortcut to the Center", produced by Ronnie Montrose.
