The band "Jumping Windows" is based out of a little burg 50 miles south of New Orleans called Houma, Louisiana. In the vein of Marvelous 3, Smashing Pumpkins, Weezer and Foo Fighters, "Jumping Windows" released their debut album, Belly of the Beast.
"Jumping Windows" was created out of frustration with the current music scene. The songs are hard-edged yet melodic. Caught somewhere in between early 70's power pop and the current emo surge, Jumping Windows has captured emotion and turned it into electricity.It is clear from the first percussive clang of the strings on their first track that everything is in service of the song.
Jumping Windows capture AM gold melodies of the 70's, run them through Marshall amps and combine them with story-driven, contemporary lyrics.
