Great modern rock.
12 MP3 Songs
ROCK: Modern Rock, POP: British Pop
Details:
Juniper Lane is a four-piece modern rock band from Washington, DC, with a sound characterized by the powerful lead vocals of Vivion Smith and stunning, rich musical arrangements. Before Sirens From A Mile Back, they released two other full-length albums; their sophomore release, Tightrope (2001) received dozens of gleaming reviews in the press and spins on commercial and college radio stations. This album put JL on the radar of the music industry and fans nationwide.
In November 2003, Juniper Lane released their follow-up album, Sirens From A Mile Back. On this album, JL worked with a production/mixing team including producer Ted Comerford (Virginia Coalition, Lucky Town, ebo), Joe Zook (Remy Zero, The Exies), and Paul David Hager (American Hi-Fi, Hoobastank, Tracey Bonham). The album was recorded at El Dorado (Los Angeles), as well as Low Watt Studios (Washington, DC). These rock songs showcase the band's songwriting talents through insidious melodies and dynamic arrangements. The album demonstrates that the band doesn't always "color between the lines." Their songwriting has undeniably evolved since their last release, and the result is music that evokes a myriad of emotions and defies existing, traditional musical boundaries. Vivion's star performance on the new album, which is also unmistakable during the band's live performance, assures the band will continue to deliver nationally what the mid-atlantic region has already enjoyed.
