THE FUNKY DIVAS OF GOSPELâS JIM WHITE RELEASES A NEW SOLO CD

The Funky Divas of Gospelâs Jim White is singing a different tune on this brand new CD, actually 14 different tunes in a celebration and salute to the music his mother sang during her 40 year career as a vocalist.

Like Patty Page, Peggy Lee, Rosemary Clooney and so many others, Beverly White was a âgirl singerâ. From an early age to her untimely death in 1981 at age 54, she sang everything from standards of the 30âs and 40âs and popular songs of the 60âs and 70âs to country music, German, Irishâ¦whatever her audience requested. And she did it so effortlessly.

âFrom the time I was a little boy I was fascinated with performing and singingâ, says White. âEvery opportunity I had to watch her perform I did. I watched how audiences responded to her and how she connected with them. She was alive on stage. She lived for it. She loved it. She was good at it. This project is a real departure for me. All my life Iâve sung R&B
