Tide and time wait for no man, so the proverb goes. This is the concept behind the album: images of time and times past, painted in music and sound. âIsland Jamâ is the memory of a visit to a south sea island, while âYesterday Morningâ and âOu Sont Les Neiges Dâantan?â are more general reflections on years gone by. The passage of time on a cosmological scale is examined with âIn The Realm Of The Starsâ and âMarch Of Timeâ before ending in âPeacefulnessâ when âThe Dark Angel Dances.â The grandeur and beauty of the passage of life and time set to music.
Bio:
Jim DeVault is a Dallas area artist who has been recording and composing since the early 80âs, with more than a dozen albums currently available. His musical style is varied, ranging from electronic pop to abstract sound sculptures. Most of his albums display several examples of these different styles, making each a unique listening experience while retaining Jimâs own signature sound. In addition to his music, Jim is also an independent filmmaker and has scored music for other filmmakersâ works as well as his own.
