Jim is also a previous winner in The John Lennon Songwriting Contest, The Great American Song Contest and others.And now Jim has won an "Outstanding Achievement in Songwriting Award" for the title track "Prairie Dog Ballet" in the 7th annual Great American Song Contest. "Prairie Dog Ballet" hit #17 on the CMJ Jazz Chart and #7 on the Earshot Jazz Chart in Canada.
