Credits and Other Stuff You Might Like to Know:

About Jesse Henry, Jr.: Jesse was born and raised in Milwaukee, Wisconsin where he began his professional career playing primarily in the classical and legit realm. As a result of his introduction to the great horn bands of the 60's and 70's, he spent the following several years playing bone for showbands throughout Florida until forming his own in 1982. His group, the "First Class Band" enjoyed a very successful 10 years touring the U.S. Jesse now resides in Palm Springs, California where he performs with his wife, Susan, as the group "Bonnie & Slyde".

In 1998 he began his life long dream to record this CD, a collection of some of his favorite 70's hits and original compositions penned by Susan for his trombone styling. The CD was well into production when he received an advertisement for the Quadro, a new kind of trombone. The difference of this trombone is the slide which is basically folded in half, making the reach shorter. For the professional trombonist this makes movement easier, resulting in more freedom of expression. But, this also means dividing all of your positions in half! For the non-trombonist, this feat might be more appreciated by comparing it to playing tennis on a ping pong table. Nonetheless, the instruments' possibilities fascinated Jesse enough to buy one, sight unseen. A bold move his is happy to have made. After a couple of months of intense work, Jesse put down "Esmeralda", his trombone of 35 years and joined partnership with "Guido" the Quadro. This also required re-recording a good percentage of the CD. Though we were forced to wait a little longer for this release, it was worth it.
