Jerry Evangelist began playing guitar and piano at the age of 6. By the time he reached 12 he had begun playing in club bands with musicians twice his age in and around his hometown Pittsburgh area. His musical talent had become fairly well known within the local music scene among his fellow musicians and after a few years he moved to Los Angeles where he signed with an entertainment agency and went on the road playing clubs, hotels and small concert venues up and down the West Coast. It was during that time he also began composing and performing his own material. The "Steppin' Out" CD is a collection of those original tunes. Each of the songs on the CD has it's own style, catchy melody lines and rhythmic grooves. We invite you to check out the music and hear for yourself.
