If Elton John were any better, he might sound like this.
10 MP3 Songs
POP: Folky Pop, FOLK: Folk Pop
Details:
All the recording was done at Newmanâs studio â the dungeon. We used microphones and everything. All the guitar parts were played by Erik Newman and Mjyke Nelson. Mjyke thinks Newman got to play all the cool parts â whatever man. David J. Russ played all the drums, bass guitar and most other sweets that you taste and feel. Bill Brown and his Leslie speaker makes âBeautiful Beautyâ sing. Personally, I donât know who Keith Patterson is, but he played outstanding bass on âSend A Message.â Kristen Solberg and Therese Chesmer sang backups on âI will Come Home.â Newman played trumpet on âNo One Can Change The World.â I played all the piano. Mjyke and I sang backups wherever you hear them. I wrote all the words and the songs. Iâm also the singer that you hear. Newman and Dave figured out how to get the music and the singing onto the tape. They also figured out how everything should sound on the whole recording and then Dave mixed it down just right. These guys spent so much time and did so many great things to this music that Iâm proud to be part of it. Comparatively, I only helped a little bit. Dave and a guy named Steve McKinstry listened to this thing at Salmagundi over and over⦠just to fix the tiniest little things. Finally, Doug Wild and one David J. Russ etched everything onto the disk, forever. The pictures were taken by Brian Scott Holman at his studio. The layout and other artwork was done by Aric Nissen at his company, Design Time. Robert McCarthy told me who to use to put the final product together and to make copies and all that junk. I got advice, support and endless patience from Mjyke as well as other friends and family. Lastly, I donât think I would have even pursued this project had it not been for the encouragement of my best friend, hero, mentor, teacher and brother â the late Jeffrey Robert Mayne. This recording is dedicated to you â I know you can hear it. So here it is. I hope you like it, With love, Jerome.
