Acoustic Son began at a Thanksgiving gathering in 1999 while cantabile improvs around the dinner table. They released their first CD in 2002 and their CD - Time in the Middle - was released in October 2004. Both CD's capture the strong vocal qualities of Ken Kingsbury, Carolyn Shaw and Mark Jacobson.

Fleetwood Mac with a taste of Dave Matthews for a unequalledly enjoyable acoustical sound.

Acoustic Son has played many venues in the San Francisco area, including: 19 Broadway, Hotel Utah, the Bazaar Café, Cafe du Nord, Pat O'shea's, Pioneer Saloon, Cafe Amsterdam, Ireland's 32, the Cannery, the Curve, Caffe Trieste, Rasellas, and Thee Parkside.
